Why hasn’t anything happened on site recently?
At certain stages of the build, progress may not always be obvious on site, even though important work is continuing in the background.
Common reasons can include:
- Waiting on a required inspection or approval
- Trade sequencing between construction stages
- Material lead times or scheduled deliveries
- Weather or site conditions impacting works
- Short stages of work where activity may be less noticeable
Except where an extension of time is required under the terms of your Building Contract, these quieter periods are already factored into the overall build timeframe. While these periods can feel slow, they are often a normal part of the construction process.
What you can do
You can check your HomeHub portal for upcoming works and recent updates, or contact your Customer Relationship Coordinator (CRC) or Site Supervisor for clarity on what’s been completed and what’s coming next.
